‘Light, bright and clear’ presents the work of young artists Cristina Marques (Spain, 1976), Laura d’Ors (Spain, 1973) and Qiu Yang (China, 1981). They’re talented, eccentric and driven. They play skilfully with their concepts and materials. Through performance, film and photography they construct a unique, interdisciplinary visual language—almost effortlessly it seems. The point of departure is often the body or the mise-en-scène. With a playful and deliberate approach, the artists seek out new aspects of reality. The finished products, photographs or films, do not register the quest itself or the steps of the process. They are entirely autonomous, remarkably light, bright and clear.
